Szilvia Kiss

Theatre has always been a very important part of my life, from my childhood on (folk singing contests, poem and prose performing contests, contests on proper pronunciation). In my high school years, I was attending the musical studio of László Csányi and Valéria Botka. I studied the piano for six years, and now, as a grown-up, I am getting acquainted with other musical instruments (guitar, flute, saxophone). After graduation, I was admitted to the theatre school of Mária Gór Nagy, and got in the class of Kati Zsurzs. During my theatre school years and later I had the opportunity to work with actors such as Kati Zsurzs, Judit Miklós, Ildikó Keresztes, Enikő Détár, Péter Kálloy Molnár, Tibor Pintér, Pál Makrai, Pál Feke, Tamás Gyöngyösi, György Szomor, Sándor Várfi. As a singer, I performed in several stage shows in Hungary and abroad: “A szépség és a szörnyeteg” (The Beauty and the Beast), “Aida”, Pál Feke concert).

István Tabáni

He was born 22. 01. 1978 in Budapest. He was drawn towards the art of painting from his childhood on, and this did not remain unnoticed by the people around him. So after finishing elementary school, there was no question about his career choice to express his abilities.
He was attending a specialized secondary school for graphics and painting arts. Majority of his works are portraits and landscapes.

He applied for the Hungarian University of Fine Arts several times, but had to give it up after the fifth unsuccessful try. He drew back a bit from the world because of the repeated refusals, but arts remained an important part of his life, he took a position in the Museum for Applied Arts as a guard. Soon he realised he should search for other ways to express his feelings.

As arts mean the life for him, he turned to an other field of it: singing. István never actually studied singing from a teacher, was self-educated in singing but thinks his best mentor was his model, Freddy Mercury. He educated his voice by singing the singer’s and his band’s hits, showing his talent off first for his family, later for his friends as well.
Those were the people who encouraged him to take part in the television talent search show “Csillag születik”, which he won.

The song he performed captured his audience, whom voted him for the Voice of the Year in 2009. Besides Queen hits in his repertoire you find Hungarian performers’ hits such as songs of Péter Máté, Ferenc Demjén as well.
